Accounts Payable Officer

Our client is seeking a seasoned Accounts Payable Specialist to join a highly regarded community in Melbourne’s South East. This is a critical "safe pair of hands" role, providing essential support to the finance team. This position offers a rare level of flexibility; whether you are seeking full-time, part-time (3/4 days), or school-friendly hours, our client is committed to finding a schedule that works for you.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the P2P lifecycle. Key Responsibilities include:

• End-to-End AP, processing high-volume invoices with a focus on accuracy and GL coding.
• Engaging with key stakeholders to facilitate the timely resolution of outstanding accounts.
• Investigating and resolving complex ledger discrepancies through diligent analysis.
• Working closely with the long-term incumbent to ensure a seamless workflow.

Your Profile

This role is perfect for a "career" AP professional, perhaps someone transitioning toward retirement or looking for a stable, community-focused environment.

• 5+ years of experience within a full-function Accounts Payable role.
• Previous experience in the Education sector and exposure to Synergetic is highly regarded, though strong ERP skills (SAP, NetSuite, Xero) are essential.
• You are known for your empathy, sensitivity, and professional communication.
• As the site is not easily accessible via public transport, a driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required (onsite parking provided).
